This research proposal focuses on the use of single-crystal X-ray diffraction to monitor chemical reactions within switchable porous and non-porous crystalline materials. The single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) transformations studied at XALOC will provide fundamental insights into solid-state intermolecular processes, such as the stabilization of intermediate species that can enhance selectivity or expand the detection capabilities of molecular-based coordination polymers (CPs) and metal–organic frameworks (MOFs).
