Genotyping by high-throughput sequencing of HeLa Kyoto H2B-mRFP/mEGFP-alpha-tubulin cell line. Homo sapiens strain:HeLa Kyoto

While HeLa is one of the most widely used model cell-line for studying human cellular and molecular biology, a comprehensive characterization of its genome has not been described so far. Such a resource will be extremely useful for experimental design and the interpretation and reinterpretation of the results. We performed deep DNA sequencing and a subsequent analysis of the mutational portfolio and gene expression profile of a HeLa-Kyoto cell line (which has H2B-mRFP and mEGFP-alpha-tubulin protein tags).
