Sizes of glabrous and hairy skin receptive fields recorded in trained and untrained rats.

Mean values (±SD) of ventral and dorsal skin receptive fields (RFs) recorded in the four experimental groups of rats before and after the lesion. The RFs are expressed in mm2. The mean values are distinguished according to RF location on glabrous surfaces of digits and pads, and on hairy dorsal skin surfaces. No effects of lesion or training were found when comparing experimental groups.
