Each subfigure represents the temporal pattern of the sperm transferred by V8 sterile males with distinct remating behavior responses. Unmated: male did not copulate during that copulation time. Mating occasions: first mating (1st M), 24-hour remating (24-h R), 48-hour remating (48-h R), 4-day remating (4-d R) and 7-day remating (7-d R) tests. Values are the average of sperm recorded in at least 20 females. Vertical bars indicate SEs and distinct letters represent statistical differences (one-way analysis of variance P<0.05).
