Differences between faller and non-faller cohorts for components of force fluctuations, Ankle and Knee noise, postural sway, and gait variability.

Force fluctuations were quantified using the coefficient of variation (CV), of the force production signals with TTs set at 15%, 20% and 15–20% ramp for ankle plantarflexors and knee extensors. CV of postural sway in the A-P direction was evaluated as the ratio of the RMS of sway to the mean distance of sway in the A-P direction.
