Photograph of Lieutentant Governor Miller with his wife and brother at the Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico, 1886. They are grouped about an exterior ladder which leans against the adobe wall of a building at left, providing access to upper levels of the pueblo. One man wearing a cloth wrapped about his head, a long-sleeved shirt, trousers, and suspenders, stands leaning against the ladder. The second man is sitting at the base of the ladder and wears a long-sleeved shirt, pants, and a bandana around his neck. He holds a hat in his hand. Governor Miller's wife reclines against the ladder. She wears a dress, long-sleeved shirt, and necklaces.
