中国邮政储蓄银行可追溯至1919年成立的邮政储金局,至今已有百年历史。2007年3月,在改革原邮政储蓄管理体制基础上,中国邮政储蓄银行有限责任公司正式挂牌成立。2012年1月,整体改制为股份有限公司。2015年12月,引入十家境内外战略投资者。2016年9月,在香港联交所挂牌上市。2019年,正式列入“国有大型商业银行”,在上海证券交易所成功上市。  中国邮政储蓄银行定位于服务“三农”、中小企业和社区,依托中国邮政集团公司的代理网点建立了中国银行业唯一的“自营+代理”运营模式,是全国网点规模最大、覆盖面最广、服务客户数量最多的商业银行。营业网点超过5万个,服务个人客户超过6亿户,网点中约有80%委托中国邮政代理,主要分布在在县乡区域,自营网点占比约为20%。这种独特的“自营+代理”运营模式使中国邮政储蓄银行能充分发挥遍布城乡的比较优势,构建了庞大的分销网络,深入乡镇、农村,服务小微企业、服务社区,获得稳定、低成本的资金来源。同时,大力践行普惠金融服务,给城乡居民特别是农民居民提供了基础金融服务,在打通金融服务“最后一公里”中扮演着重要角色。但代理网点占比过重也带来了高额代理费、监管风险等挑战。

Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) traces its origins to the Postal Savings Bureau established in 1919, boasting a century-long history. In March 2007, on the basis of reforming the original postal savings management system, Postal Savings Bank of China Co., Ltd. was officially established. In January 2012, it was restructured into a joint-stock limited company as a whole. In December 2015, it introduced ten strategic investors from domestic and foreign markets. In September 2016, it was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In 2019, it was officially included in the "state-owned large commercial banks" and successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Postal Savings Bank of China positions itself as serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and communities. Relying on the agency outlets of China Post Group Corporation, it has established the unique "self-operation + agency" operation model in China's banking industry, making it the commercial bank with the largest number of outlets, the widest coverage and the largest number of serving customers in the country. It has more than 50,000 business outlets and serves more than 600 million individual customers. About 80% of its outlets are entrusted to China Post for agency, mainly distributed in counties and townships, while self-operated outlets account for about 20%. This unique "self-operation + agency" operation model enables PSBC to give full play to its comparative advantages across urban and rural areas, build a huge distribution network that penetrates towns and rural areas, serve SMEs and communities, and obtain stable and low-cost capital sources. At the same time, it vigorously practices inclusive financial services, providing basic financial services to urban and rural residents, especially farmers, and plays an important role in breaking through the "last mile" of financial services. However, the overly high proportion of agency outlets also brings challenges such as high agency fees and regulatory risks.
