This project is aimed to understand the response of Dunaliella tertiolecta to different level of nitrogen and light. We sequenced the transcriptome in varying conditions of light and nitrogen and pooled them together for de novo transcriptome assembly. The identified transcripts function was predicted using BLAST and served as a template to analyze the differential expression in different conditions. Multifactor analysis was carried out to find the commonly affected genes to both light and nitrogen which can explain the inhibition of growth during nitrogen starvation.
