The purpose of this analysis is to investigate whether DNA mutations in hepatocytes play a determining role in NASH-HCC development. We utilized the animal statement and steric animal model (STAM) to establish a NASH-HCC model using WT and 15-Pgdh+/- mice following a specific protocol. In male mice, the NASH-HCC model was induced by a single subcutaneous injection of 100 µg STZ solution 2 days after birth, followed by ad libitum feeding of a high-fat diet from 4 to 15-20 weeks of age. WES was performed using DNA samples extracted from the background liver tissues of STAM WT and 15-Pgdh+/- mice
