Evaluation of Tmem184b dependent gene expression changes during sensory neuron differentiation in vitro

Our objective was to evaluate the gene expression changes occuring in early sensory neuron development that were lost in the absence of Tmem184b and restored upon its reintroduction into mutant neurons in culture. Embryonic DRG neurons were cultured from wild type (4 mice) or from Tmem184b mutant mice (5 mice) with or without lentiviral restoration of Tmem184b. We collected RNA at Day 0 (day of culture) and day 14 (end of experiment). For mutant samples, neurons from each mouse were evaluated at Day 0, Day 14 without rescue, and Day 14 with rescue. Total RNA was extracted nad transcripts were evaluated using RNAseq.
