Multiparametric Saliva Test for Periodontitis Severity and Caries Lesion

This Zenodo record contains the de-identified participant-level data underlying the figures and tables reported in the manuscript entitled “Multiparametric Saliva Test for Periodontitis Severity and Caries Lesion.” The study was a single-center, cross-sectional diagnostic accuracy study conducted at the Institute of Science Tokyo Hospital, Japan. The study evaluated the clinical utility and diagnostic performance of SillHa, a rapid chairside multiparametric salivary testing system, for screening periodontal disease and dental caries. A total of 112 participants were enrolled, and 12 were excluded according to predefined criteria, leaving 100 participants for analysis. The dataset includes de-identified measurements obtained from unstimulated whole saliva (UWS), stimulated whole saliva (SWS), oral rinse samples (ORS), and exhaled breath, together with reference clinical and laboratory measurements used for validation. Variables include SillHa-derived parameters such as occult blood (Bld), leukocytes (Leu), total protein (Pro), ammonia (NH3), pH, buffering capacity (BFC), and mutans streptococci (MS), as well as corresponding reference method data and clinical classifications of periodontal condition and dental caries. These files are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the data underlying the published analyses. The record is intended to enable readers to reproduce the main figures, tables, and statistical analyses reported in the manuscript. All data have been de-identified to protect participant confidentiality. Accompanying documentation, including a codebook and file descriptions, is provided to facilitate interpretation and reuse of the dataset.
