Digital Archive from an Archaeological Excavation at 51 Cannon Street, Little Downham, Cambridgeshire, July to August 2021

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, GIS data and site record data from an archaeological excavation by Allen Archaeology Limited. Work occurred on land at 51 Cannon Street, Little Downham, Cambridgeshire, from July to August 2021.Two excavation areas, Area 1 and 2, were opened in accordance to planning permission granted for development. The earliest dating material is represented by residual flintwork dating from the Mesolithic/early Neolithic and Bronze Age. A small assemblage of pottery was also discovered dating between the late 9th century and mid-12th century AD. Evidence of domestic activity was provided in the form of a possible sunken-feature
