A dataset of flora with bioeconomic use in an Amazonian protected area: A case study of the Combu Island Environmental Protection Area, Belém-PA

This dataset contains 224 occurrence records of flora with bioeconomic use in the Combu Island Environmental Protection Area (APA Ilha do Combu), Belém, Pará, Brazil. The data were compiled from scientific literature and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), structured according to the Darwin Core (DwC) standard and FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). The collection includes a CSV file with 20 taxonomic and geographic fields, complemented by technical documentation, providing a foundation for conservation policies and sustainable development in the estuarine Amazon. File Description: occurrence_records_munguba.csv: The primary file of the dataset, containing 224 occurrence records of flora species. The file is in CSV format and organized into 20 fields detailing taxonomic classification, precise geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude), collection/observation event dates, and bibliographic sources for each record, following the Darwin Core standard. occurrence_records_munguba_fields.docx: This document serves as a data dictionary (metadata), providing a detailed description of each of the 20 fields present in the occurrence_records_munguba.csv file. The definitions are based on Darwin Core (DwC) and Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) standards, which are essential for the accurate interpretation, validation, and reuse of the information contained in this dataset.
