We performed ChIP-seq analysis on Histone H3 methylation in the model fungus Podospora anserina. IP were done using antibodies raised against H3K4me3, H3K9me3 and H3K27me3.The distribution of these three histone marks have been described in the wild type strain on P. anserina as well as in in three mutants: deletion mutants of PaKmt1 and PaKmt6, genes encoding histone methyltransferases responsible for H3K9 and H3K27 tri-methylation respectively, and PaHP1 deletion mutant, gene encoding the reader protein that binds H3K9me3.
