A Qualified, Traceable and Reproducible FAIR OpenFAST Dataset for the NREL 5-MW/OC4-DeepCwind Floating Wind Turbine Benchmark

This dataset provides time-domain OpenFAST simulation results for the NREL 5-MW reference wind turbine mounted on the OC4-DeepCwind semisubmersible floating platform. Version 2.0.0 contains 256 Sea-State Groups and 1,280 simulation realisations: the original population of 123 groups / 615 realisations and an extension of 133 groups / 665 realisations. Every group contains five wind-speed cases at 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 m/s. Raw OpenFAST time histories are provided on this record as 32 ZIP archives, with archive assignments, checksums and sizes documented in the accompanying metadata package. Qualification follows explicit and orthogonal criteria for physical-domain membership and numerical-record integrity. The combined inventory contains 175 Class A groups, 16 Class B groups and 65 Class C groups. Of the 1,280 realisations, 1,279 pass all mandatory C3 checks and one retained record fails the post-transient duration requirement. Exclusions, corrections and expert overrides remain traceable in the released evidence and provenance records. The release includes OpenFAST configurations, persistent Group and Realisation identifiers, entity and qualification tables, development and frozen hold-out partitions, provenance documentation, loading and validation code, and the evidence packages supporting the original and extended domains.
