Leading gifts U.S. consumers planned to buy for others during the holidays 2024

During the 2024 holiday season, over 60 percent of surveyed consumers in the United States planned to buy clothing and/or shoes as a gifts for other people. At nearly 40 percent, gift cards were also a popular choice among holiday shoppers. When asked what they would buy for themselves, the most popular answer was likewise clothing or shoes.
