COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK PROVERBS: LINGUISTIC, CULTURAL, AND TRANSLATIONAL PERSPECTIVES

Proverbs serve as linguistic and cultural artifacts that encapsulate the wisdom, traditions, and moral values of a society. This study explores the classification of English and Uzbek proverbs from thematic, semantic, and functional perspectives. By analyzing their similarities and differences, the research highlights how proverbs reflect cultural identity, social norms, and leadership values. Additionally, the study examines the challenges of translating proverbs while preserving their original meaning and cultural significance. The findings suggest that understanding and applying proverbs can enhance cross-cultural communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
