Quantitative disease resistance in lettuce

We aimed to identify sources of genetic resistance to Botrytis cinerea and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in lettuce (Lactuca sativa, Lactuca serriola). Transcriptome profiling across multiple lettuce accessions enabled us to identify genes with expression correlated with resistance and susceptibility against these fungal pathogens.
