Images and a Report from a Building Recording Survey at Otterburn Training Camp, Northumberland 2023

This collection comprises images and a survey report from a Level 1 Building Recording by JBA Consulting of ten modern buildings within Otterburn Training Camp, Northumberland.
The recording took place on the 1st February 2023, prior to demolition of the buildings to facilitate the construction of the new NetCAP buildings. The buildings recorded are all single storey, with all but one being in similar style to Vic Hallam prefabricated buildings.
After surveying the ten buildings it was concluded that the buildings are of no significant interest and individually hold little value, although as a group they demonstrate the historic development of the camp. The buildings likely date to the 1950s or 1960s when this style of prefabricated design and construction was prevalent, but the absence of readily available mapping or aerial photographs prevents a more precise date being identified within the scope of a Level 1 historic building survey.
This report has recorded the key aspects of the buildings and their value and it has been determined that no further action is required.
