The viscosity of pure and methane-saturated light sweet crude oil, as well as n-decane, artificial seawater and deionized (DI) water are determined at three to five different pressure levels between 1 MPa and 16 MPa and five different temperature levels between 268 K and 323 K, respectively. A newly designed high-pressure apparatus (capillary viscometer) to measure viscosities at these experimental conditions is employed. Louisiana Sweet Crude oil (LSC), pure methane, pure n-decane, artificial seawater and DI water are used for the measurements. Artificial seawater was prepared according to Kester et al. (1967).
