Lake Munmorah and Budgewoi Lake Foreshore and Bushland Rehabilitation Stage 1

The Lake Munmorah and Budgewoi Lake foreshores and nearby bushland reserves are becoming more and more degraded. This project aims to deliver measures that combat coastal estuary and bushland degradation caused by invasive weed species, erosion and human impacts such as litter. Works will include applying best practice bush regeneration techniques in weeding, planting and erosion control as well as litter removal and stormwater treatment zone maintenance. These activities will assist with improving the biodiversity and species habitat of the area. Installation of interpretive signage and field days will aim to increase the local communityÍs knowledge and participation in natural resource management in the area.
