L'ittionimia nel Vocabolario dei Dialetti Salentini

The Vocabolario dei dialetti salentini has been analyzed, in particular the sector of material life in Salento, about the dialectal names of fish, crustaceans and molluscs that populate our sea. Later, a glossary is proposed, articulated in various sections, in which a lot of aspects of the species considered have been analyzed, from the physical description to the taxonomic classification, without obviously neglecting the linguistic and etymological aspect. An update of the VDS has been proposed which considers, in addition to the original voice of the vocabulary, the geographical diffusion of the word, the variants and its presence in oral or written sources.
