Water quality data are collected by trained community scientists who volunteer for the Couchiching Conservancy. Data are collected using tools in the LaMotte Water Quality Educator and Monitoring Outfit, which contains kits to test for a variety of water quality parameters. Conductivity probes, and lab grade analyses are occasionally used. Long term trends are tracked and logged on the Water Rangers data platform.
