This dataset comprises acoustic signal data collected from field experiments simulating mechanical excavation events conducted at varying radial distances across natural gas pipeline networks. Each sample consists of 20,000 data points corresponding to a 10-second sensed signal segment, and is paired with labels indicating the threat distance. For the three threat zones, there were 300 valid samples per zone initially; data augmentation was applied to expand each category to 1,000 samples. The task of this dataset is to estimate and identify threats within energy pipelines.
