A database containing Hospitalized patients with Heart Failure: integrating electronic healthcare records and external outcome dataHeart Failure

Heart failure is one of the most important reasons for hospitalized, which is also associated with significant mortality and morbidity. Epidemiological study requires the establishement of high quality database. Several datasets have been established in western countries, which generated many high quality researches. However, no such dataset is avaialbe from China. Due to differences in genetic background and healthcare systems between China and western countries, it is urgently needed to establish a heart failure database for Chinese population. We performed a retrospective single center observational study to collect data regarding characteristics of Heart failure patients in China based on electronic healthcare records. The study collected information for a total of 2,008 patients with heart failure, containing 168 attributes. The dataset can be reused without any restriction.
