What this data set is:
Top content Share of Voice (SOV) describes the percentage of engagement by distribution type (linear, streaming, theatrical) generated vs all media content in the US. Unlike the Media & Entertainment Share of Voice: All Content reports which details the share of voice for specific titles, this report illuminates the share of voice at an aggregated distribution type level.
Data Detail:
This report contains a list of the three distribution types with their associated SOV percentage (%) for yesterday.
Methodology:
Diesel Labs is a data curation company that specializes in deriving insights from the major social and video platforms to help researchers and analysts understand what topics are the most important and why. This report includes data from X / Twitter and is based on organic Tweets about the title(s) in question.
Application guidance / ideas:
This report can be used in conjunction with other forms of data (viewership hours, ratings, audience attention) to understand not just the volume of engagement but the relative share based on what is happening across the entertainment landscape.
