The Illumina MiSeq sequencing method was used to determine the transcriptomes in differentAntrodia cinnamomea (syn. Taiwanofungus camphoratus) samples: (A) Two sexually compatible haploid (monokaryon) mycelia. These haploid strains were germinated from different monokaryon arthrospores of the HC1 wild isolate dikaryon mycelia, and their mating types were defined to be A1B1 and A2B2, respectively. (B) The two diploid mycelia (A1B1 X A2B2) were generated by sexually crossing two corresponding haploid strains in (A); (C) ATCC200183 diploid mycelia (A4B4 X A5B5); (d) ATCC200183 diploid fruiting body (A4B4 X A5B5), which were orange to brown in color; (e) SN-1 diploid fruiting body (A2B2 X A3B3), which were milky-white on the surface. These data can help to understand genes involved in mating, sexual development and mushroom diversity.
