The dataset comprises ventilatory parameters recorded from 72 patients during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) interventions for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), managed by basic life support (BLS) teams. The data were collected using a dedicated device connected to the bag-valve mask (BVM) during resuscitation efforts. The recorded data include inspiratory and tidal volumes (𝑉𝑖, 𝑉𝑡 ), inspiratory and expiratory times (𝑇𝑖 , 𝑇𝑒 ), leakage volumes and ratios, and ventilation intervals. Each CPR cycle follows a 30:2 compression-to-ventilation ratio, allowing the identification of the first and second ventilations. These ventilations were extracted and identified among the numerous ventilatory events recorded, ensuring precise analysis of the CPR cycle. The device calculates the tidal volume (𝑉𝑡 ), defined as the volume of gas reaching the lungs with each insufflation. This calculation is facilitated by a bidirectional thermal mass flow sensor, which accurately measures inspiratory and expiratory flow rates. The EOlife® algorithm processes these flow measurements to calculate the delivered volumes and detect leaks. Using a proprietary calculation method, it then determines the tidal volume. Distinguishing ventilations from chest compressions and random perturbations in the recorded signals remains challenging due to real-world field conditions. However, despite these constraints, the dataset provides valuable insights into CPR practices, allowing researchers to assess compliance with resuscitation guidelines, monitor ventilation efficiency, and evaluate the effectiveness of manual ventilation techniques. This dataset serves as a key resource for advancing the understanding of ventilation strategies during CPR and optimizing emergency care through data-driven approaches. The data are divided by patient. For each patient record, there are associated ventilation data as well as a graphical figure showing the ventilation data.
