Ricker et al. (2000) studied the growth of seedlings of a rainforest tree species that had been transplanted from a tree nursery into the forest in Veracruz, Mexico. The following three independent variables were measured (among others): the mass ("Ma") of the seeds that were used in the nursery, the openness ("Op", from 0 to 1) of the forest’s canopy, and the zinc concentration in the seedlings’ leaves ("Zn"). The dependent variable for multiple linear regression is plant height ("He") after 24 months. The 137 data entries of the four variables are provided here. REFERENCE: Ricker, M., C. Siebe, S.
