资源简介:
The ZOOplankton Visualization and Imaging System (ZOOVIS) is a self-contained and battery-powered system, which uses shadowgraph imaging to quantify zooplankton including copepods, euphausiids and fragile gelatinous zooplankton. The Dual-frequency IDentification SONar system (DIDSON) is high-definition imaging sonar system that has been broadly used in fisheries studies. We developed a framework to support the simultaneous mobile deployment of ZOOVIS and DIDSON and the algorithms to process coincident information from both systems, and test the capabilities of this approach for ecosystem studies. Soundmetrics imaging sonar data and ZOOVIS imagery data for plankton was collected in the southeastern Bering Sea from July-August 2017. The data files are in imagery format (ZOOVIS) and .aris (DIDSON). The soundmetrics imaging sonar data collected by the Aris 1800 instrument is 17.7 GB and the ZOOVIS imagery data for plankton collected by the ZOOVIS instrument is 1 TB in the form of video and text files. This dataset was generated as part of NPRB project 1419
