Administration of Vancomycin in the drinking water of H2-Ab1 fl/fl and MHCII delta ILC3 mice normalizes fecal microbiome

Female, littermate Rorc-cre negative (H2-Ab1 fl/fl) and Rorc-cre positive (MHCII delta ILC3) mice were treated with Vancomycin hydrochloride (Vanco) (0.25mg/mL) in autoclaved de-ionized drinking water for 19 days (EAE70) or 6 days (EAE72) in two independent experiments (EAE70/72). Fecal pellets from individual mice were collected prior to administration of vancomycin (d0) or at indicated day timepoints (d19 or d6) post-Vanco administration. Fecal sample preparation, subsequent 16S rRNA sequencing and PCoA analysis was performed by the Microbiome Core Lab of Weill Cornell Medicine.
