资源简介:
Source image stacks of specimens, dataset for the paperFirst pholcommatine cobweb spider from Eocene Rovno amber, with a relimitation of the subfamily Pholcommatinae (Araneae: Theridiidae)Kirill Y. Eskov, Dmitry D. Vorontsov, Yuri M. Marusik & Evgeny E. PerkovskyRovnopholcomma wunderlichi gen. et sp. nov. is described from Eocene Rovno amber (Ukraine). The new genus is the closest relative of Succinura Wunderlich, 2008, known from the Eocene Baltic (Gdańsk Bay), Danish and Bitterfeld ambers. The controversial theridiid subfamily Pholcommatinae Simon, 1894 is relimited and divided into two tribes: (1) Pholcommatini Simon, 1894, which includes the extant genus Pholcomma Thorell, 1869 and eight extinct genera, all known from the Eocene of Europe; and (2) Theonoini Simon, 1894, which includes the extant genera Theonoe Simon, 1881, Carniella Thaler & Steinberger, 1988 and Robertus O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1879. One of the key diagnostic characters for the relimited Pholcommatinae is the presence of hooded trichobothrial bases, a unique feature within the family Theridiidae.Images in JPEG or TIFF format. Scalebars included as separate files, insert pixel to pixel to the photo. FastStone image viewer (freeware) is recommended for viewing the stacks.Compound microscopes Nikon E-800 with dry (10x, 20x), water (40x and 60x) and oil (100x) immersion optics and Zeiss AxioImager A2 with dry (40x, 63x) and oil immersion optics (100x) were used, with brightfield, polarized, differential interference contrast and incident illumination. Stacks of images, comprising multiple focal planes, were obtained with Olympus OM-D E-M10-II digital camera. Images were treated for color, digital noise and sharpness with Adobe Lightroom.Fluorescence imaging was performed using a Zeiss LSM-880 confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM) equipped with an Airyscan super-resolution detector.
