Simulated oil spills in coastal Florida and Texas, Gulf of Mexico, Blowout and Spill Occurrence Model (BLOSOM), from 2015-06-01 to 2015-07-11 and from 2017-06-01 to 2017-07-31

This data package contains the output of numerical simulations of oil spills in coastal regions of Florida and Texas in the Gulf of Mexico. These spills, simulated by the Blowout and Spill Occurrence Model (BLOSOM), vary by simulation location, the amount of oil released into the environment, and the time of oil release. The runs are based on the Navy Coastal Ocean Model (NCOM), a numerical ocean model that simulates the ambient ocean conditions at the time the spill was simulated.
