Renovation costs — Carpentry

Between 2017 and 2018 a survey was conducted with the FAIRE network in order to trace the economic data that the structures have been able to capitalise on during the years of advice to individuals. More than 60 structures participated and nearly 12,000 renovations were collected. The data have been harmonised in a common collection format in order to be able to carry out statistical studies. The study is available on the ADEME website. The concept of work is quite general, we will prefer to speak of a gesture of renovation (works on a single post such as insulation of lost attic) to oppose the notion of work bouquet (set of work gestures such as insulation of the bottom board, thermal insulation from the outside and the installation of a heat pump). A building consists of an envelope (wall, carpentry) that separates the interior space from the outside space and equipment that performs functions (heating, ventilating). Renewable energy equipment can be added.
