Chromosome level assembly of the malabar grouper (Epinephelus malabaricus genome) genome

Genome sequencing, phased assembly and annotation of the commercially important Malabar Grouper (Epinephelus malabaricus) from Okinawa, Japan. This genome will add to the resources of larger predatory fish associated with coral reefs, which are also important fisheries and aquaculture species.
