Data for PeerJ journal. Paper entitled "The toxic effects of antiretroviral nevirapine and one nevirapine tablet formulation for aquatic organisms"

The data available is regarding the assays conducted for the species toxicity vulgaris, Microcystis novacekii, Artemia salina and Aliivibrio fischeri. The presented data shows the raw data that the growth of the M. novacekii wasnot inhibited by NVP. Also, the data for the test with FML was presented, in which proves that it was not toxic for M. novacekii and A. salina.Toxicity tests using A. fischeri and A. salina models differed significantly between API and FML.Lactose and povidone did not inhibit the growth of the C. vulgaris and M. novacekii but caused mortalityin about 100% of the A. salina. The toxicity variations observed between API and FML are due to thepresence of excipients. Toxic effects of the excipients have been verified only for A salina.
