X/Y and Z axes motorization components.

Components used to motorize the X, Y, and Z linear translators of our stage. The Z-stage components provide for higher speeds and there is no reason why these could not be used on all stage axes. At the time of writing the above component costs are $115 per axis. Couplers to connect these parts were machined in-house (Fig. 2) and cost $83 per axis. This cost can be halved by using only one coupler (see Methods), or eliminated completely if no couplers are used or if the user has machining experience.
