Filming Locations of the World — 15,272 places, 12,762 productions

Where films, television series, video games, anime and manga were actually made, as one open dataset: 15,272 real places across 161 countries, joined to the 12,762 productions recorded at them. Place fields: Wikidata QID, name, category, how precisely the pin locates a shoot, country, ISO 3166-1 code, WGS84 coordinates, a global fame rank and band, production counts split by evidence stream, the drawn works whose setting was modelled on the place, English Wikipedia URL, Commons photograph URL and the place's page URL. Production fields: QID, title, kind (film, tv, game, anime, manga), years, the places attached to it by Wikidata statement and separately by its Wikipedia article, what exactly was read from that article, and the countries recorded for it too coarsely to pin. Films and series are placed by filming location (P915). Video games, anime and manga are filmed nowhere and are placed instead by narrative location (P840), where the story is set; the relation column carries that distinction on every row and reprinting the data without it publishes a false claim.
