Dataset for: Serve Dynamics and Tactical Trends in Elite U-14 Girls’ Tennis: A Case Study from the Les Petits As Tournament

This dataset supports the study “Serve Dynamics and Tactical Trends in Elite U-14 Girls’ Tennis: A Case Study from the Les Petits As Tournament” published in the International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching. The research analyzes serve dynamics and tactical patterns in elite U-14 girls’ tennis, based on singles matches from the quarterfinals to the final of the Les Petits As 2023 tournament.Using a structured observational methodology and the OBSTENNIS-JUNIOR-S23 instrument, a total of 837 points were systematically coded. Data were recorded and analyzed using LINCE PLUS and THEME 6 Edu software, with statistical processing conducted in IBM SPSS Statistics. Variables include serve type and placement, rally length, stroke characteristics, and point-ending outcomes.The repository contains a single file in IBM SPSS Statistics (.sav) format, enabling replication of the statistical analyses and facilitating further research on tactical development, serve effectiveness, and early rally control in elite junior girls’ tennis.
