资源简介:

The author of the work, assumedly active in Vienna, is one of the most important representatives of the Central-European painting of the late International style. In spite of the apparent connection with an older Austrian tradition, his inspiration comes from Italian and Western-European was commissioned by the goldsmith Sigismund Waloch from Wiener Neustadt in 1434 to commemorate his deceased wife. Waloch holds a bow with an inscription from Psalm No. 51, while his wife holds a bow with a plea to the Virgin Mary. They humbly kneel down in front of the Madonna while St Barbara and St Judas Thaddeus speak for them accompanied by a group of angels. (Master of the Votive Panel from St Lambrecht - Active in 1430S-1440S)
