验潮站观测资料数据是对沿海地区海平面变化规律进行分析的重要资料。原始小时验潮站数据来源于GESLA-2数据集(https://www.gesla.org)。中国公开的验潮站数据较少。除了厦门站(1954-1997)和香港站(1962-2014),其他九个站点的时间序列在1975到1997年间。香港沿岸的水位记录始于1962年,在1962-1986年间记录在北站(North Point),1986年后该验潮站移到一公里之外的鲗鱼涌(Quarry Bay)。北站和鲗鱼涌两个站点用了同一套测量标准和统一的基准面,通过订正将香港站水位调整为一套51年长序列水位。所有验潮站原始观测数据经过了质量控制。在MATLAB通过计算获得各验潮站日最大和平均水位观测数据。该数据可用于海岸洪水危险性评估,警戒潮位核定和沿海设防设计等。
Tide gauge observational data are critical for analyzing sea level change patterns in coastal areas. Raw hourly tide gauge data are sourced from the GESLA-2 dataset (https://www.gesla.org). There are few publicly available tide gauge datasets in China. Except for Xiamen Station (1954–1997) and Hong Kong Station (1962–2014), the time series of the other nine stations span the period from 1975 to 1997. Water level records along the Hong Kong coast began in 1962, with data collected at North Point Station between 1962 and 1986. After 1986, the tide gauge was relocated to Quarry Bay, approximately one kilometer away. Both North Point and Quarry Bay stations employed identical measurement standards and a unified datum. Through systematic data correction, the water level records of the Hong Kong Station were consolidated into a continuous 51-year time series. All raw observational data from the included tide gauges underwent strict quality control. Daily maximum and mean water level datasets for each station were calculated using MATLAB. This dataset can be applied to coastal flood hazard assessment, warning tide level determination, coastal defense design, and other relevant coastal engineering and research applications.
