Calorimeter and thermal gradient data for Concentration-related metabolic rate and behavioral thermoregulatory adaptations to serial administrations of nitrous oxide in rats (PLOS ONE)

Data are from a two phase study published in PLOS ONE: phase 1 involved adapting rats to 3 h nitrous oxide (N2O) exposures in dose groups (percent N2O) of 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, 60% and 75% N2O (n=12 per dose group) and phase 2 involved a single 3 h test of the same rats in a thermal gradient (cold at one end, warm at the other). In phase 1 we measured core temperature (Tcore, C) and heat production (HP, W). In phase 2 we measured Tcore and selected ambient temperature (Tselect, C).
