To investigate the functional effects of RAB44 ectopic expression in tumorigenesis, we over expressed RAB44 in two immortalized but non-tumorigenic bladder cell lines, UROtsa and SV-HUC-1, using lentivirus infection strategy. RNA-Seq data are consistent with flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy that apoptosis is inhibited and Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal Transition is promoted when RAB44 is overexpressed.
