Replication Dataset for: Scale-Elastic Replacement Costs, Statutory Authentic-Text Regimes, and Bureaucratic Decoupling in the Five Post-Soviet Turkic States

Replication dataset and column-level data dictionary for "Scale-Elastic Replacement Costs, Statutory Authentic-Text Regimes, and Bureaucratic Decoupling: A Political Economy of Script Transition in the Five Post-Soviet Turkic States". This archive contains six CSV files: (1) five_language_publication_flows.csv (1980 and 1990 union-wide five-language book titles, copies, sheet-impressions, and census denominators); (2) uzbek_turkmen_publication_comparison.csv (16-indicator-year comparison across 1975, 1980, and 1990); (3) late_soviet_panel_1975_1990.csv (seven-wave Uzbek and Turkmen book panel for 1975, 1980, and 1986–1990 from BSE Vols. 26–27 and Pechat' SSSR v 1990 godu Table 64, plus the 1986–1990 four-republic newspaper, periodical, and per-100-inhabitants book panel from Tables 34, 68, and 69); (4) state_domain_transition_matrix.csv (25-cell state-by-domain Latin conversion scores, statutory authentic-text priority coding, 1990 log print copies, and domain asset turnover rates across all five Turkic republics); (5) kazakhstan_language_indicators.csv (five-stage administrative, legislative, and judicial workflow series including 2020–2022 Prosecutor General Qamqor Form 2 civil court returns vs. Concept court series, plus the 11-year university enrolment panel by language of instruction for 2000/01–2005/06 and 2019/20–2023/24); and (6) data_dictionary.csv.
