Tourism employment in the Dominican Republic 2019-2022

Approximately 803 thousand jobs were provided by the Dominican travel and tourism sector in 2022, which shows an increase of 5.7 percent over the previous year. This represents a full recovery from the strong decline as the industry suffered under the restrictions imposed to limit travel during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
