Banana Blood Disease in FLores Island, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia

This 317 bp sequence was amplified from Ralstonia syzygii subsp. celebesensis strain Bbd-Flores1, isolated from the fruit of banana Kepok cultivar (Musa balbisiana) showing symptoms of blood disease in Flores Island, Indonesia. The primer pair sequences used were 121F and 121R (Ray et al., 2021). The sequence confirms the causal agent of observed disease symptoms. This represents the first sequencing of blood disease isolates from Flores, though prior PCR studies had detected the pathogen using the same primers.
