Wild Type (WT) and carbonic anhydrase knockout (CA IX KO) mice were fed water with 0.5% sucrose (control) or 0.28M NH4Cl + 0.5% sucrose for 9 days. On day 7, saline or ExoY+ (2.5x106 CFUs) was injected intratracheally and blood was collected 48 hours later for analysis of cytokines and complete blood count (CBC) with differentials. Open symbols represent female mice, and closed symbols represent male mice. Data represents means + SD.
