Epigenetic age acceleration and respiratory morbidity and mortality in U.S. adults aged ≥50 years: reproduction package (NHANES 1999–2002)

This repository provides the reproduction package for the manuscript “Epigenetic age acceleration and respiratory morbidity and mortality in U.S. adults aged 50 years and older: a cross-sectional and prospective cohort study of NHANES 1999–2002.” It contains (1) the per-participant analytical datasets used in all statistical analyses (derived from the publicly available NHANES 1999–2002 DNA methylation, survey, and linked mortality public-use files from the National Center for Health Statistics, CDC); (2) the complete R code that regenerates every table and figure from the analytical datasets; and (3) the aggregated analysis-output CSVs. The underlying NHANES source files are publicly available from NCHS (https://wwwn.cdc.gov/nchs/nhanes/dnam; https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/linked-data/mortality-files/). Sharing of these derived analytical datasets is consistent with the NCHS public-use data-use agreement; no restricted or identifiable data are included.
