PureForest

PureForest is a large-scale multimodal dataset developed by the French National Institute of Geographic and Forestry Information, focusing on tree species classification for single-species forests. The dataset includes 18 tree species categorized into 13 semantic classes, spans an area of 339 square kilometers, and encompasses 449 distinct single-species forest stands. It contains Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) point clouds and Very High Resolution (VHR) aerial imagery, and serves as a challenging benchmark dataset for deep learning research, enabling tree species identification from LiDAR and/or aerial imagery.
