Genomes of three root-associated endophytic bacteria isolated from high-performing Sorghum bicolor L. Moench under arid-land conditions

Bacteria from the dominant bacteria phyla Proteobacteria and Actinobacteria are known to associate with plants. Here, we share annotated genome sequences for three root-associated bacteria isolated from Sorghum bicolor L. Moench cultivated in southwestern Arizona, identified as Spingomonas koreensis and Mitsuaria sp. PDC51 of the Proteobacteria and Promicromonospora sp. of the Actinobacteria. We provide an assessment on secondary metabolite clusters via ANTISmash. These genomes will provide insight into the genomic architecture of plant-associated bacteria.
